Laundry Cleans Up!
Team
Laundry (Hollywood Casino) won the 2005 Memphis Regional Chamber
Quality Cup Team Award. The team serves as a regional role model,
encouraging others to accept principles and practices that lead to
continuous improvements and customer satisfaction. The team was
recognized at the Summit Level for making an exceptional
contribution to Hollywood Casino’s quality improvement program. Team
Laundry is a self-directed team that effectively and efficiently
serves a 496-Room hotel, a fine-dining restaurant, a buffet, and a
banquet department. This team has saved almost $250,000 in labor
costs since the program was instituted and has received bonus
payments for 60 of the last 66 months
The
Memphis Regional Quality Cup Team Award is aligned with the
former RIT/USA Today Quality Cup Team Award and the Malcolm Baldrige
National Quality Award Criteria. The award is managed by the
Mid-South Quality and Productivity Center which is a
partnership of the Memphis Regional Chamber and Southwest Tennessee
Community College.
